The fruit of Bijpura is sour, sweet, stomachic, beneficial to heart and stomach, anti-emetic, promotes appetite and is haemostatic.Peel is astringent, aromatic and bitter tonic. Flowers are useful in insomnia and di-arrhoea. Pounded roots are given in worm-infestation, emesis and renal calculi. Juice is refrigerant. Fruits are used for pick-ling. They are useful in palpitation and have antiscorbutic properties.
